Dr. John J. Halki is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in surgery of the spine. His practice focuses on complete care of all spinal conditions, from low back pain to the most complex problems of the spine, including the neck, thoracic and lumbar spine. Although Dr. Halki is a spine surgeon, his focus is always on conservative nonsurgical management of problems. However, when surgery is required he is trained in all aspects of spinal surgery. Dr. Halki has specialty training in total disc arthroplasty, minimally invasive spine surgery, scoliosis and deformity correction, herniated discs of the neck and low back, as well as degenerative conditions of the spine.
Dr. Halki has been in private practice for over 13 years, focusing on care of the spine. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine. After graduating, he then spent six years as resident in Orthopedic Surgery at the Phoenix Integrated Orthopedic Program at the Maricopa Medical Center. While there, he trained in several different hospitals and gained broad training in orthopedics. During this time, Dr. Halki developed an interest in spine surgery, as well as orthopedic trauma.
Dr. Halki continued his educational training, doing a year fellowship in spine surgery at Orthopedics Indianapolis. He feels this was the best education and most rewarding experience in his medical training. While at Orthopedics Indianapolis, he trained under six spine surgeons. These surgeons guided him in the development of his own style of patient care. He incorporated the best qualities of each, giving him the exceptional attributes and skills.
Dr. Halki has a special gift when it comes to bonding and getting to know his patients. "I treat patients the way I would want to be treated - like they are family." Dr. Halki truly cares about his patients and it shows in all aspects of his practice.
Back pain unbearable? Call today for a consolation.
